My journey with MTCC began with one goal: to make sure no Tibetan student felt lost in transition. Through outreach programs, social drives, and cultural events, I’ve worked to unify our community across age and origin — creating a softer landing for newcomers and a louder voice for those already here. Whether it was hosting welcome circles or tutoring peers through unfamiliar systems, I led with empathy, always.
Community is built on contribution, and mine came in both hands-on work and far-reaching aid. I successfully raised over $15,000 through the Shenphen Charitable Trust to enhance local living conditions — funds that transformed dormitories into dignified spaces. I also coordinated a cloth relief drive with Lelung Dharma Trust UK, distributing clothes, shoes, books, and essentials to 75 Tibetan families in need. Each step was about meeting needs, and honoring dignity.
At MTCC, service isn’t seasonal — it’s woven into our identity. As part of my creative and community mission, I produced visual stories, organized outreach content, and served as the voice that connected Mysore’s Tibetan youth to global Tibetan allies. I believe real advocacy happens when culture is preserved and potential is protected — and I continue to work to ensure both.
